A quick update....

I just wanted to put a few quick notes in here before I forget them. I will come back and fill in all the blanks when I find a few extra minutes.

#1~ Diagnosis
12-25-10 After a trip to the Urgent Care (Michael & Dr. Nicol) and ER (Dr. Reed) Mike was diagnosed with Lymphoma. His Tumor is 12cm x 14cm and is in his chest around his heart and lungs.
#2~Biopsy
12-29-10 Mike had his biopsy. SCHEDULING NIGHTMARE... but confirmed to us that we definately needed to find another Dr. and not go with Vancouver Clinic. We picked Northwest Cancer Specialists. They have been AMAZING. Dr. Kanzal (radiologist) used a LARGE needle and inserted it into his chest and took out a small piece of the tumor (mike saw it) to confirm his diagnosis and also find the stage and form of lymphoma (we are hoping for Hodgkins).
#3~ Shower
I have discovered the shower is the PERFECT place to have my daily melt downs. They are more refreshing than ever before now.
#4~ Jesus Christ suffered this too
Mike and I have found great comfort in the atonement of Jesus Christ and knowing that he went through all of the pain and agony we are going through now, and much more for us.
#5~ Northwest Cancer Specialist
We are meeting with our new oncologist at Northwest Cancer Specialists today. I am a nervous wreck. I'm not quite sure why. There's not a whole lot more anyone can tell us at this point that would make matters any harder.
The reality of all of this has set in a little more each day. I think I'm afraid that going and meeting with the oncologist today will make things even more real for me. Today we will learn the treatment plan. I am anxious to know what is ahead of us but am so fearful for the reality to set in . But there is no turning back at this point. So we will move forward, one step at a time.
